Setting up Zotero

Step by step guide
- The install process for Zotero is handy, see the guide.
- Startup Zotero and login, then sync the database.
- Change the Base directory setting in the advanced Zotero preferences to a folder in an online cloud syncing service (e.g. Google Drive). This folder will be referred to as CloudFolder.
- Install ZotFile.

Set the ZotFile preferences to the following:
- Source Folder for attaching new files set to Downloads.
- Location of Files, Custom folder set to CloudFolder.
- Subfolder set to /%w%y
- Renaming Rules set to {%y_}{%a_}{%t}.
- Change to lower case to true.
- Max title length set to 120 characters.
- Install the Zotero connector for your web browser.
